(a)

The design, construction, installation, replacement, repair, alteration and maintenance of a sanitary drainage system must be in accordance with—

(i)

AS/NZS 3500.2; or

(ii)

for a Class 1a or Class 10 building, Section 4 of AS/NZS 3500.5;

and the requirements of this Part.

The requirements of (a)(ii) do not apply to the main line of a sanitary drainage system serving 20 or more Class 1a buildings on the same allotment.

(c)

Where there is no point of connection to a Network Utility Operator’s sewerage system, the design, construction, installation, replacement, repair, alteration and maintenance of a wastewater treatment system must be in accordance with AS/NZS 1546.1, AS/NZS 1546.2, AS/NZS 1546.3 or AS/NZS 1547 as appropriate.
