you about some changes that have been made  to Part H7 ancillary provisions in NCC 2022.

These provisions relate to heating appliances, the  main change that's happened is the removal of any

reference to boilers and pressure vessels, you  won't find those in the DtS Provisions for 2022,

compared to those provisions currently existing  in 2019. Part 12.4 heating appliances the main

change that's happened in this particular clause  has been clarification about the use of AS/NZS 2918.

If you have a look there in 12.4.5  the installation of freestanding heating appliances

must comply with either AS/NZS 2918 for safety clearances or be located in

accordance with those requirements in subclause  (a)(ii) or (iii). The difference in (d) sets out that any

flue needs to be tested in accordance with  AS/NZS 2019, there are no other Deemed-to-Satisfy

choices within the Housing Provisions.  So in summary the installation of the heating

appliance you have a choice between installing  it to AS 2918 or the provisions in 12.4.5(a)(ii) and (iii)
