With the improved digitisation of the NCC, using the Plumbing Code of Australia (PCA) online is much easier. Here’s some useful information, including some of our favourite features, to help you use the PCA online.

Why do I need the PCA?

The PCA contains the technical requirements for plumbing in Australia. It’s the link between the State and Territory Plumbing Acts and Regulations and the installation standards such as the AS/NZS 3500 suite of standards. So, if you’re working in the plumbing or building industries, you may need the PCA. To make it easy to access, the PCA is available online.

Using the PCA online

Did you know that using the PCA online is easy? Here’s some of our favourite features to check out:

  • Mobile-friendly. The PCA adapts to your device or screen! Whether you’re using a mobile, tablet device or desktop it’s easy to read and use.
  • Pop-up explanatory information. Making it easier to see the requirements and access explanatory information only if you need it!
  • Indexing. The index panel makes it easier to navigate - no Part/Section of the PCA is more than two clicks away.
  • Search function. Are you unsure which section you’re looking for? Simply use key words or phrases in the upgraded search bar function for guidance!
  • Favourites. Save your most visited Part and/or Section to the favourites tab just like you would a website!
  • Sharing. The share function, allowing you to share via email, google+ or post to social media with one click!
  • It’s free to access online or download! Simply register by clicking on the yellow icon button on the right hand corner of the ABCB’s website.
